If you’re like us, and we hope you are, we appreciate the gallant efforts and sacrifices America’s soldiers have given time and time again for this great country. Sadly in today’s day and age we feel that many people take our freedom for granted and our veteran’s sacrifices get forgotten. We will never forget.
On a regular basis Beantown Home Improvements offers significant discounts to America’s veterans, but the owner Jim DelPrete always wants to do more, and so Operation Payback was born. It is our sincerest of hopes to make this an annual event of appreciation, and to do so we must not forget our partners.

Here are the details:
For Beantown Home Improvements to offer a brand new roof of 20 square (2000sf of actual roofing area) to an American Veteran (US Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, Navy) FREE of charge. If the winning roof happens to be larger than 20 square, the homeowner will ONLY pay the overage for the actual material and labor cost. If the winning roof has a skylight(s) they will be installed FREE of charge with the veteran only paying the cost of the skylight(s). Veterans with a roof of ANY size are encouraged to enter.
The shingles to be installed will be a 50 year architectural shingle with premium synthetic underlayments and Preferred Protection warranty. All warranty registration cost will be covered by Beantown Home Improvements.
Eligibility
- The registrant/winner must be an active, reserve, honorably discharged, or retired American veteran of the United States Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, or Navy
- The home must be their permanent residence, not a rental
- The residence must be in Massachusetts within Plymouth, Bristol, or Norfolk Counties
- The winner must provide a valid Military ID, which will be confirmed by Beantown Home Improvements and then by a recruiting office of the appropriate military branch
- A winner will be chosen at noon on October 31st to allow time for registrant validation
- Installation will be shortly after Veteran’s Day in November

The workers did a good job finishing and cleaning up even though with the shorter days they worked at dusk. Our 30 year old home was in need of more than the usual minor board replacement and repaint after this past winters rain and wind storms. After some consideration we came to the conclusion it was time for a major face lift with products … More that could withstand the elements better than our cedar siding and other wood product exterior items. While researching new products that we were interested in one name always came up as an available contractor. That was Beantown Home Improvements. Not only did they work with all the products we had interest in but they were backed by fantastic reviews as well. We gave them a call and Jim and John came out to discuss what we were looking for on our homes exterior. After some discussion and quotes on pricing we signed with Beantown to install new James Hardie siding, ProVia windows and TimberTech decking. Every aspect of our dealings with Beantown were fantastic and I would highly recommend them to anyone. From working out the details and costs with Jim and John to working with Jim and Brian and their entire team during the construction process. Whenever we had a question or concern it was handled quickly and professionally. As mentioned in many of these other reviews the Beantown team is extremely hard working and cleans up the area at the end of each work day. We are very pleased we selected Beantown Home Improvement and our home shows the detail to quality construction they provide.

We had all of our trim (all of it!) replaced, as well as some rotted clapboards, by Beantown. Our project manager was extremely informative and open to all questions and concerns. We had some back and forth just to hammer out every detail … More and he was patient and had everything in writing on our price quote -- which was very competitive and we were very happy with the cost. A huge crew descended upon our house and in just two very, very productive days, had finished the job! As promised, our front, back and side yards were left clean of any and all debris and the dumpster was removed promptly after the job was finished. We were very pleased and would highly recommend Beantown.
