Beantown Home Improvements Community & Charity Involvement

BEANTOWN Home Improvements isn’t just involved with roofing, siding, windows, doors, and decks. No, we feel very fortunate to be where we are today and as such, we try to give back to the community and several charities whenever possible. Helping our service men and women is of major importance to the owner Jim DelPrete and he is constantly trying to help those who have afforded us the freedoms we have today.

Below is a list of just some of the events we have been involved with and partake in.

Working with Our Deployed

BEANTOWN Home Improvements took a leap of faith on this one, especially being a small company. The homeowner’s husband is deployed and they were having serious leaks in the roof. The funding for this project was entirely coming from donated sources such as the VFW Yuengling Beer and several other sources, long after the roof was to be done! Beantown stepped up and installed the roof without receiving any money whatsoever, knowing that donations would come in from sources over the next 6 months.

2020 Habitat for Humanity Project – Plymouth

It’s a new year but the same great Beantown crew. We were in Plymouth, MA at the Habitat for Humanity project off Long Pond Road on Tuesday 1/14/2020. We donated the material and labor to a much-deserving Veteran and her family – check out the excerpt below. No matter the roof, we are always using the best materials on the market, which is Owens Corning. The color installed here is Driftwood. The Beantown crew wants to thank Tracy for her sacrifices and duty to this great Nation. We also wish her and her family a Happy New Year with new beginnings.

Tracy served 9 years in the Air Force and 6 years in the Army Reserve. She served 6 tours overseas. She left the military to adopt her 2 young cousins who were 9 and 11 at the time. They are now 16 and 14. Tracy and her boys will receive the 3-bedroom ranch. #BeantownHI #OwensCorning #Driftwood

In early 2017 BEANTOWN Home Improvements launched what it hopes to be a yearly event in which we will give away a brand new roof of 20 square (2000sf of actual roof area) to an American Veteran (US Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, Navy) FREE of charge. The below roof was installed on November 15th, 2017 in Abington and this program will continue to run on an annual basis.

The below Owens Corning roof in Driftwood was installed on November 23rd, 2018 in Bridgewater.

The below Owens Corning roof in Estate Gray was installed on November 16th, 2019 in Whitman.

Completed 9 deployments in theaters around the world.

November 20, 2016 Veteran Surprise

To us every day is Veteran’s Day and today we visited Webster Rehab and South Shore Rehab in Rockland to pay tribute to 32 of our American Veterans.

Beantown partnered with Ken Blanchard at Soldier and Family Services to get the sizes of 32 of our veterans. Ken does all the legwork getting their sizes and then brands the bags with Beantown’s information who sponsors all of the clothing. These veterans had no idea we were coming today and it brought tears to their eyes, and ours. Each receives a veteran knit hat, 2 veteran t-shirts with American Flags on them, a veteran sweatshirt and 2 pairs of socks.

We do this to show our sincere appreciation for their service and was truly an honor to meet all of them. Their service ranged from WWII, Korean War, Vietnam, and Iraqi war veterans. Men and women alike. We truly thank you all for your service.

Beantown home improvements recently built us a new deck and demolished our old one. The project went smoothly from start to finish. The owner, Jim, came to our house, gave us quotes and explained our options. Brian’s crew was friendly, … More hard working and professional. The finished deck is high quality and looks great. We love it! The whole experience with Beantown was excellent and we would highly recommend them.

My wife and I have been homeowners for 46 years and over that time we have had many home improvement projects ranging from small to very large and extensive. Working with Beantown Home Improvement was easily one of the best experiences … More we've had. We were looking to replace our cedar clapboard and shingle siding with vinyl for ease of maintenance. We also wanted to strip off the existing siding to expose any rot or other hidden issues due to the ravages of time. Elias met with us on-site and we jointly walked through the entire project, discussing various options and just how the work would be performed. He was very professional and easy to work with. He answered my questions in detail and made sure we understood the scope of the work. After signing the contract we had a target date for the work to begin. We were kept apprised of any date shift due to weather or stock availability and work began right on time. The crew were also very professional and efficient. the Project Manager went over the plan with me to answer any last minute questions. It was obvious the crew knew just what they were doing as they each went about their separate tasks from setting up staging to stripping off the old siding.Upon inspection after the old siding was removed there was some rot discovered which required replacing 7.5 sheets of sheathing. This possibility was noted in the contract so it was not a surprise. All of the trim was wrapped with vinyl-coated aluminum which was cut and bent on-site. The entire job was moved like clockwork and was finished in 3 days. We were more than impressed with the quality, speed and overall professionalism with which this project was completed. We would not hesitate to recommend Beantown Home Improvement to family and friends.

We had a wonderful experience with Beantown Home Improvements, Inc! Tyler and his crew showed up on time and worked hard all day to make our new room perfect. Everyone on the site was respectful of our home, and they left it as clean as … More it was when they got there! I will be having them back in the future to do my deck, I am sure! Thank you!

From the very start ,Dan, the sales representative was extremely helpful in answering the many questions we had regarding the siding of our house. He told us that we may have to wait a few months as they were booked, but if they had an … More opening they would side the house sooner. True to his word they came as soon as they could. Just two months after our first contact with Beantown, they were ready to side our house. They explained how the process would take place, and it all happened just as they said. The work was done in two days. The workers were extremely professional. On day one of the job I returned home from work and saw that they had removed all the old siding and shingles, and had already started framing the windows. My husband said there were 12 workers present on the second day. I came home from work to see that my entire house was sided. Several neighbors had stopped by to tell me how well they worked. They also commented on the great job. I was completely overjoyed to see my house, absolutely beautiful! Jim, the siding manager, was also fantastic, and he was very responsive to any questions we had. We are so please with the job they did and we would highly recomment them to anyone who wants a job done well. Thank you, Thank you Beantown.
