Beantown Home Improvements Community & Charity Involvement

Team Beantown

Beantown Home Improvements isn’t just involved with roofing, siding, windows, doors, and decks. No, we feel very fortunate to be where we are today and as such, we try to give back to the community and several charities whenever possible. Helping our service men and women is of major importance to the owner Jim DelPrete and he is constantly trying to help those who have afforded us the freedoms we have today.

Below is a list of just some of the events we have been involved with and partake in.

Working with Our Deployed

Beantown Home Improvements took a leap of faith on this one, especially being a small company. The homeowner’s husband is deployed and they were having serious leaks in the roof. The funding for this project was entirely coming from donated sources such as the VFW Yuengling Beer and several other sources, long after the roof was to be done! Beantown Home Improvements stepped up and installed the roof without receiving any money whatsoever, knowing that donations would come in from sources over the next 6 months.

2020 Habitat for Humanity Project – Plymouth

It’s a new year but the same great Beantown Home Improvements crew. We were in Plymouth, MA at the Habitat for Humanity project off Long Pond Road on Tuesday 1/14/2020. We donated the material and labor to a much-deserving Veteran and her family – check out the excerpt below. No matter the roof, we are always using the best materials on the market, which is Owens Corning. The color installed here is Driftwood. The Beantown Home Improvements crew wants to thank Tracy for her sacrifices and duty to this great Nation. We also wish her and her family a Happy New Year with new beginnings.

Tracy served 9 years in the Air Force and 6 years in the Army Reserve. She served 6 tours overseas. She left the military to adopt her 2 young cousins who were 9 and 11 at the time. They are now 16 and 14. Tracy and her boys will receive the 3-bedroom ranch. #BeantownHI #OwensCorning #Driftwood

Habitat for Humanity Project
Operation Payback

In early 2017 Beantown Home Improvements launched what it hopes to be a yearly event in which we will give away a brand new roof of 20 square (2000sf of actual roof area) to an American Veteran (US Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, Navy) FREE of charge. The below roof was installed on November 15th, 2017 in Abington and this program will continue to run on an annual basis.

November 20, 2016 Veteran Surprise

To us every day is Veteran’s Day and today we visited Webster Rehab and South Shore Rehab in Rockland to pay tribute to 32 of our American Veterans.

Beantown Home Improvements partnered with Ken Blanchard at Soldier and Family Services to get the sizes of 32 of our veterans. Ken does all the legwork getting their sizes and then brands the bags with Beantown Home Improvements’ information who sponsors all of the clothing. These veterans had no idea we were coming today and it brought tears to their eyes, and ours. Each receives a veteran knit hat, 2 veteran t-shirts with American Flags on them, a veteran sweatshirt and 2 pairs of socks.

We do this to show our sincere appreciation for their service and was truly an honor to meet all of them. Their service ranged from WWII, Korean War, Vietnam, and Iraqi war veterans. Men and women alike. We truly thank you all for your service.

Our experience has been excellent. We’ve had a number of contractors performing various work and Jim and his team stood out. The quote process was easy, no pressure sales tactics. Then the project start, they were very detail oriented, … More even willing to rip off installed siding to use a corner molding requested. This was not met with anger, but a willingness to do the right thing for the customer. Their workers were diligent, professional, friendly, and man did they work hard. However, they were NOT willing to sacrifice quality to speed the construction. We had a lot of rainy days and they refused to caulk when the surface was wet and wouldn’t adhere. They cleaned up every day very thoroughly, and my yard was raked and spotless post service. I would highly recommend Jim and his team. Couldn’t be happier with the results, especially given other experiences I have had. Use Beantown!!

Beantown was a great choice for our roof project. I contacted Beantown through their online contact form and was called right away. Our initial meeting with John was scheduled immediately and John did a great job walking us through the … More project and all of our options. We were then put on a schedule and Derek kept me updated on the status up to install day which went great. The workers did a good job finishing and cleaning up even though with the shorter days they worked at dusk. We would definitely recommend Beantown to others and will keep them in mind for future projects.

Our 30 year old home was in need of more than the usual minor board replacement and repaint after this past winters rain and wind storms. After some consideration we came to the conclusion it was time for a major face lift with products … More that could withstand the elements better than our cedar siding and other wood product exterior items. While researching new products that we were interested in one name always came up as an available contractor. That was Beantown Home Improvements. Not only did they work with all the products we had interest in but they were backed by fantastic reviews as well. We gave them a call and Jim and John came out to discuss what we were looking for on our homes exterior. After some discussion and quotes on pricing we signed with Beantown to install new James Hardie siding, ProVia windows and TimberTech decking. Every aspect of our dealings with Beantown were fantastic and I would highly recommend them to anyone. From working out the details and costs with Jim and John to working with Jim and Brian and their entire team during the construction process. Whenever we had a question or concern it was handled quickly and professionally. As mentioned in many of these other reviews the Beantown team is extremely hard working and cleans up the area at the end of each work day. We are very pleased we selected Beantown Home Improvement and our home shows the detail to quality construction they provide.

Beantown Home Improvements did a fantastic job replacing our 27-year-old roof. Their team was professional and efficient, arriving early and completing the work quickly. They even identified and fixed hidden issues like water damage in … More the attic, replacing the damaged plywood and upgrading the ventilation. The new roof looks beautiful, and we're thrilled with the results. Highly recommend Beantown for their expertise and excellent service!
